About Us
Hi! I'm Charlotte, proud 25 year-old owner of Charlotte Danielle. I hope you came across my page because, like me, you love fashion!! And you also care about the contributing impact the fashion industry continues to have on our climate.
Charlotte Danielle was founded in the hope to help keep clothes in circulation and out of landfill. I aim to spread awareness of the damaging effects the culture of fast fashion is having on our enviornment. I want to provide an affordable and accessible alternative to fast fashion. Whilst doing so, my blog and social media posts will continue to post ideas on how to live more sustainably (in general), without compromising on style or fun!
As a consumer I believe in imperfect sustainability. I don't believe that one person has to do everything 100% sustainably (if that concept actually can exist at all!), but that every person should make informed and conscious decisions, living as sustainably as they can within their own means.
In terms of fashion, for me that starts by; shopping secondhand, swapping and sharing clothes with friends and family, mending clothes that need attention and finding new ways to style what I already own. I invest more money into clothes made from more durable material. You can read more on my blog post.
I began selling on Depop as a hobby selling my personal clothing, as many of us do, and very quickly fell in love with it. From there I expanded and thus came Charlotte Danielle. Charlotte Danielle currently has over 2300 items sold on Depop and you can still shop on there now. I have also expanded to sell on the Finds World app. These platforms will continue to be updated with new stock, as well as our website.
It is important to me that I continue to improve how eco-friendly the rest of my business is. I am currently in the process of moving to compostable packaging. Our packaging is currently recyclable. Any tags, labels or business cards are made from recycyled paper. Whereever possible, orders are taken to the post office by foot to reduce our carbon emissions.
I am looking forward to continuing to grow Charlotte Danielle's presence online and on various online selling platforms. City pop-ups are in planning right now and ultimately I wish to have a brick and mortar store.
Thank you for taking the time to read and for supporting Charlotte Danielle.
